Meghann's Philosophy on Veganism

Veganism is a moral philosophy that nonhuman animals (NHAs) ought to be treated compassionately.  Practically, a vegan is a person that does not eat or use animal products (including dairy products, eggs, and leather) - but not eating or using animal products is just one tool for reducing NHA suffering.

I am opposed to the objectification of NHAs that occurs in concentrated animal feeding operations (CAFOs - AKA factory farms) in the United States.  Because more than 99% of the animal products eaten in the United States are produced on CAFOs, I believe that most people in the United States should be vegan.
