Home Prairie Restoration

Nate and I bought a house in Boone County, and we have 2 acres on the sides of our house (1 acre on the east and 1 acre on the west) that had previously been grown for hay.  We are restoring those fields into prairie.  We began preparing the site in the fall of 2007, had Blomgren Seed Habitat Services seed the prairie in the summer of 2008, and are now managing the prairie.  Here are some pictures of our progress.
